Benso organic olive oil is a premium, first cold-pressed olive oil obtained solely through mechanical processes. It is made from Leccino olives – a Tuscan variety – which impart notes of fresh grass and hazelnut. Like wine, olive oil is sensitive to climatic conditions; consequently, its flavor profile varies from year to year. This year, the bio-dynamic oil reveals aromas of green tomato and raw artichoke, followed by a finish of almond, all with very low bitterness. Benso organic olive oil has an acidity level of 0.38, never exceeding 0.5.
